My Two Cents #94 - Pro Life

  • The Fetus is Squirming, and So Are We - Slate.com discusses how ultrasound, esp. 3-d ultrasound, could be the death of abortion on demand.  When we actually see what is going on, finely constructed intellectual defenses of abortion must fall to the horrific reality - we are killing children.
  • In the Womb - the National Geographic special and book add more stunning visuals of the developing blob of cells - well, they look human, but you know, they're not really (voice of conscience in head:  "Oh yes they are human, yes they are.")
  • Down's Syndrome is OK - In response to the horrid fact that 90% of Down's syndrome fetuses are aborted in the west, parents of Down's kids have launched a crusade to inform parents before they kill their children.  It is awkward for obstetricians and pediatricians who recommend such abortions to hear a happy, growing 11-year old Down's child say ""I am so lucky I get to do so many things...I just want you to know, even though I have Down syndrome, it is O.K."
