Akiane Kramarik: Child Prodigy Artist

Akiane2 I just learned of now 10 year-old child prodigy Akiane, a self-taught artist who paints what God shows her in visions.  Her paintings are so good I thought it was a hoax, and tried to find her on Snopes.com, but to no avail.

She has been featured in Christianity Today, on CNN (you MUST watch this 3 minute video, amazing) and you can see an interview with her (also amazing) and a musical presentation of her artwork.  If you go through her online gallery, you can read her comments on each painting.  Amazing for a young girl.  Humbling.

I love the story of her conversion... The Holy Spirit can evangelize where people can't.

Didnt read it all, but checked out her work. AMAZING!!!

The Holy Spirit sent her visions of a distinctly non-semitic Jesus? Interesting.

I read Akiane's first book (Akiane her life, her art, her poetry) several months ago near Christmas. I've spent a lot of time on her websites. She is Amazing! Such a blessing to the world!

these painting look like what an adult would think the visions of a young girl would be. Jesus looks like a member of a boy band with a beard. Nothing original. I think this is all a hoax. Kitschy. this is such a joke.

Akiane Kramarik is an intelligent talented young lady who has brought much light and hope to this world. It is wonderful to see that God in his infinte mercy chose a little girl to carry his message.

Hello all my name is Brandy. I just started working for a company called Art & SoulWorks. We have just received the license from Akiane and her family to sell some of her products. If anyone is interested please feel free to email me at brandy@artnsoulwrks.com

The paintings are sentimental new age crap, and I don't believe they are hers. Check out: http://fagistan.blogspot.com/2006/11/more-people-who-need-to-learn-to-pray.html

I read those comments and I think they can be interpreted in many ways. I don't think they are enough evidence to judge her. What concerns me is that her words are beginning to sound more new age than christian thought.
