Workplace Chaplains

NPR had an interesting story on the growing trend of companies hiring "workplace chaplains."  Benefits?

  • Lower employee turnover
  • Elimination of employee assistance hotlines (people prefer a real person they know)

Risks?

  • Prostheletyzing - most companies said this doesn't happen much, due in part to Chaplain training
  • Offending the non-religious

You may also want to listen to a couple of previous reports on this subject.
