those who believe that human-caused global warming is a real problem, but one that can be met in part with technological management and adaptation.
I think i might agree to that. It's the extremists that make sensible solutions hard. Same with AIDS. Those who preach only abstinence or condom use are doing harm by omitting the other's approach. I think a growing number of conservatives would be glad to be more eco-friendly, even if they think the link between human consumption and global warming is questionable. They wouldn't mind taking cautionary moves that don't severly cripple our economy or use expensive regulations as a first line of attack on the issue.

I agree. I may be skeptical about it, which is why I do not support measures that would hurt our (or other's) economy, but I would not mind using technology to do things that could lessen the impact if my skepticism is wrong.
