How to Develop a Christian Worldview
I've read numerous articles and books that emphasize the importance of developing a Christian worldview but very few that actually offer any practical advice on how to do it. Thankfully, Joe Carter has come to the rescue with some excellent advice on how to change your mind.
As the infamous slogan says, just do it.

Seeker and Aaron,
Maybe this is not entirely on topic but as this blog is about Christian perspectives, I would like to thank Seeker and Aaron for the hard work they put into maintaining this blog and it's readership. I was speaking to my Dad over lunch today and I mentioned how much I enjoy posting to 2or3 because it helps me think through and examine my own beliefs. My Dad suggested, "Well maybe you should thank those guys for that."
So, thank you guys for always responding to the comments of your posters. Though we don't often agree, it speaks well of you guys as Christians to put your views out there in the public sphere. I think that is an important element of developing a Christian world view; discussing both it's strengths and weaknesses. It's against my beliefs to thank God, but thank you guys for being such sincere and polite conversationalists.

Thank you, very nice of you. In fact, the main reason I contribute to this blog is in order to purify, update and adjust my own world view. Since I intend to become a Christian teacher/pastor, I don't want suspect or superficial arguments to be part of my milieu.
I am a little disheartened that everyone, perhaps even myself, is really just interested in strengthening their own world views, rather than evaluating them and looking for truth, but perhaps that is the way people are.

I think that is good advice for reading the bible (or any book that you want to study) :)
... and I agree with Cineaste about this site! Thank you for the opportunity to think about things. I appreciate it.

Aaron, Seeker
Whats up with this? Christian Coalition pres.-elect leaves
The man wants to do something about real issues and the evangelical guys in charge like Pat Robertson shoot him down for it? What the "bleep"?

Pat Robertson is not in charge, but the CC wants to focus on it's core moral issues and not expand to include social issues. NPR did a nice piece on this today.
I am not sure if the new guy wanted to bring in the Jim Wallis socialist left kind of Christianity, or if he wanted to justifiably expand the issues to include poverty, aids, and other issues that xianity speaks to. If that's the case, then this organizations waning membership is justified.
However, there is nothing wrong with only focusing on one or a few issues, it's just that they told him they wanted to grow, but now it turns out they don't want to expand the issues they address (or he wanted to put a liberal Christian spin on these other issues).
If the CC wants to represent evangelicals on a range of political and social issues, they just missed their chance, and they may go the way of the Moral Majority, which was also an excellent idea in its hayday.
